Veteran actress Shabana Azmi celebrated her 75th birthday on September 18, 2025, with a star-studded party. The intimate celebration, hosted by producer Boney Kapoor at his Pali Hill residence in Mumbai, was attended by a host of Bollywood celebrities.

The evening's highlight was a heartwarming moment when Shabana Azmi and her husband, Javed Akhtar, took to the dance floor. The couple danced to Connie Francis's classic song "Pretty Little Baby". Farah Khan shared a video of the couple dancing on Instagram, which quickly went viral. The couple, who have been married for over four decades, were dressed in color-coordinated red and black outfits. Shabana Azmi looked stunning in a maroon ensemble with vibrant red borders and a statement brooch, while Javed Akhtar complemented her in a classic red kurta paired with a sleek black Nehru jacket.

Another video shared by Manish Malhotra captured Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, and Urmila Matondkar dancing to the song "Kaisi Paheli Zindagani" from the movie Parineeta. Later, they invited Shabana Azmi to join them. The video was shared by Sanjay Kapoor on Instagram.
