Samba, J&K: Security forces have initiated extensive search operations in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir following the sighting of two Pakistani drones along the International Border (IB). The drones were observed hovering over Challiyari village in the Ghagwal area and Chamliyal village in Ramgarh late Friday night.
The Border Security Force (BSF) and local police have cordoned off the areas and are conducting a thorough search to ensure no weapons or narcotics were airdropped across the border. The search operations were ongoing as of Saturday.
Officials stated that the drones were spotted late Friday night. The BSF immediately launched a coordinated search operation with the police early Saturday morning. The aim is to prevent any potential smuggling of weapons or narcotics into Indian territory.
The sighting of these drones has heightened security concerns, prompting a comprehensive effort to secure the border region. Authorities are on high alert and are taking all necessary measures to address any potential threats.
