The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has released its manifesto for the upcoming Bihar elections, with a major focus on job creation and economic development. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has been actively explaining and promoting the NDA's promise to generate "1 Crore Jobs + Rozgaar" (one crore jobs and employment opportunities) for the state's youth.
Tiwari emphasized that the NDA's manifesto serves as a roadmap for transforming Bihar's economy and development over the next five years. The core promise is the creation of one crore government jobs and employment opportunities within the next five years. This pledge is central to the NDA's vision for a "developed Bihar," aiming to significantly boost the state's economy and provide opportunities for its large youth population.
The manifesto also includes several other key promises aimed at boosting employment and entrepreneurship. A significant proposal is the "Mahila Rojgar Yojana," which would provide financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to women entrepreneurs. Another key promise is to create one crore "Lakhpati Didis". The NDA is also pledging to establish a center of sports excellence in every district.
Beyond job creation, the NDA's manifesto outlines a broader vision for the state's development. This includes infrastructure development such as introducing metro train services in four additional cities and establishing seven international airports in the state. The party also intends to propel Bihar to the top of India's GDP rankings within the next five years.
The NDA's leaders have presented a united front in support of the manifesto. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed the "Sankalp Patra" (manifesto) as a vision for a "developed Bihar". Union Home Minister Amit Shah has stated the NDA's determination to build a developed Bihar under the leadership of Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. BJP President JP Nadda has also emphasized that Bihar is on the track of development under the NDA leadership.
The opposition has been critical of the NDA's promises. Congress leaders have questioned the NDA's track record and the feasibility of their new pledges. Some have alleged that the NDA leaders are afraid of answering questions about their governance.
Manoj Tiwari has defended the NDA's manifesto by stating that the NDA is the name of development and that the promises made will be fulfilled. He also criticized those who dismiss the manifesto as a joke, arguing that they have never planned for Bihar's development.
