LJP's Sambhavi Choudhary Criticizes Rahul Gandhi's "Drama" Remark: Suggesting He Should Refrain From Making Such Comments.

New Delhi, November 1, 2025 – Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Sambhavi Choudhary has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following his recent remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plans for Chhath Puja. Choudhary stated that Gandhi "should not comment" on matters he does not understand.

Choudhary's sharp rebuke comes in response to Gandhi's comments, which she deemed as unnecessary drama. The LJP (Ram Vilas) MP emphasized that Gandhi should refrain from speaking on subjects he lacks understanding of, further adding that his remarks were uncalled for.

This is not the first time Choudhary has publicly criticized Gandhi. In July 2024, she condemned his "violent Hindus" remarks made in Parliament, stating that as the Leader of the Opposition, he should have focused on national interests instead of making divisive comments about religious groups. She said, "We condemn the manner in which he called Hindus 'violent'...This was his first speech as the LoP. Had he wanted, he could have spoken of national interest, schemes but instead of doing that, he spoke of Hindus, Muslims, Christians...He wasted everyone's time...".

In August 2025, Choudhary demanded an apology from Gandhi for what she considered derogatory remarks against PM Modi. Furthermore, in September 2025, she expressed her disapproval of Gandhi's comments regarding the youth, linking them to potential unrest and violence within the country. Choudhary said that Rahul Gandhi is encouraging the youth to establish the kind of disorder in India that happened in Nepal. She added that he is not distributing pens but throwing them away, and he should be ashamed of making such statements.

Choudhary has been a vocal critic of Rahul Gandhi in the past, often attacking his stances on various issues in the Lok Sabha. During a parliamentary session in February 2025, she criticized the opposition, including Gandhi, for their reaction to Bihar receiving increased budgetary allocations. She alluded to the India alliance and said that after the Bihar elections, the India alliance would disappear from the earth like dinosaurs.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also joined in criticizing Gandhi’s remarks. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched an attack on Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, accusing the Congress leader of betraying his "maternal roots in Italy" by denigrating the Chhath Puja festival.

The back-and-forth between Choudhary and Gandhi highlights the ongoing political tension between the LJP (Ram Vilas) and the Congress, with Choudhary positioning herself as a staunch critic of Gandhi's statements and actions.
