Jaipur Parking Dispute Turns Fatal: 27-Year-Old Man Loses Life in Tragic Confrontation Over Space.

Jaipur: 27-Year-Old Dies After Parking Dispute Turns Deadly

In a shocking incident in Jobner, Jaipur Rural, a 27-year-old property dealer, Shravan Bodalya, lost his life after being mowed down by a car following an altercation over parking space outside a restaurant. The incident occurred late Friday night and has sparked outrage and a police investigation.

Bodalya, a resident of Chosla in Didwana-Kuchaman, was dining with five friends at a restaurant on Renwal Bypass when the deadly dispute unfolded. According to police reports, a car carrying four men arrived at the restaurant around the same time, leading to a quarrel with Bodalya's group regarding parking. The argument quickly escalated into a brawl.

In a brazen act of violence, the four men started their car and deliberately rammed it into Bodalya before fleeing the scene, leaving him critically injured. Bodalya's friends immediately rushed him to a private hospital in Hathoj, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

"The attackers deliberately ran over the victim before fleeing. We have identified the vehicle through CCTV footage," a senior police officer stated. DSP Jobner, Khalil Ahmed, mentioned that the clash began after one group asked the other to move their car. Police have launched teams to apprehend the accused.

Authorities, including police and forensic teams, promptly arrived at the crime scene to gather evidence. Tyre marks and CCTV footage from nearby cameras were collected. The CCTV visuals reportedly captured the car intentionally ramming into Bodalya before speeding away.

A post-mortem examination was conducted at Jobner Community Health Centre (CHC) on Saturday morning, after which the body was handed over to Bodalya's family. Police have registered a murder case against the four unidentified attackers and are actively pursuing leads to bring them to justice.

This tragic event highlights the escalating problem of road rage and the potential for minor disagreements to turn deadly. In August 2025, a similar incident occurred in the Murlipura area of Jaipur, where a jeep driver ran over a man following a car collision. In that instance, the driver of a Scorpio jeep allegedly smashed the glass of the other vehicle after a collision, leading to a confrontation with bystanders. Attempting to escape the crowd, the Scorpio driver drove into the public, resulting in the death of one man.

Earlier in April 2025, a man was killed in Ajmer over a parking dispute, leading to the arrest of four individuals. In May 2024, a 70-year-old man was beaten to death by his neighbors in Jaipur over a car parking issue. These incidents underscore the need for increased awareness and stricter enforcement of laws to prevent such senseless acts of violence.
