The Redmi Note 15 series is anticipated to launch in India in January 2026, while the Redmi 15C may debut even sooner. This information comes from industry sources, providing a clearer timeline for these upcoming devices.
Redmi Note 15 Series
The Redmi Note 15 series launch in India is reportedly scheduled for early January 2026. This contradicts earlier speculation of a late 2025 release. If this new timeline holds true, the launch would be over a year later than the Redmi Note 14 series, which launched in December 2024. The first sale of the Note 15 phones is expected around January 9, 2026.
The Redmi Note 15 series has already been launched in China in August 2025. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to be the top-tier model, featuring the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP telephoto sensor. It may also include a substantial 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The regular Redmi Note 15 may be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and a 5,800mAh battery. Its display is rumored to be a 6.77-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Pricing for the Redmi Note 15 series is expected to be similar to the Redmi Note 14 series. For reference, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G launched in India in December 2024 with a starting price of Rs. 29,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Redmi 15C
The Redmi 15C is also tipped to launch soon in the Indian market, possibly by the end of November or in early December. It remains unclear whether both the 4G and 5G versions will be released.
The Redmi 15C 5G was launched on September 18, 2025. The phone features a 6.90-inch touchscreen display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720x1600 pixels (HD+). It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with 4GB of RAM. The Redmi 15C 5G runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and packs 256GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card. It also has a 6000mAh non-removable battery and supports 33W fast charging. The rear camera includes a 50-megapixel sensor, and the front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor.
Market Context
These potential launches are strategically important for Xiaomi in the Indian market. The Redmi Note series is a key part of the company's portfolio in India, and the Redmi 15C aims to provide a budget-friendly option.
