Mumbai Police Investigates Social Media Influencer Orry's Alleged Connection to a Massive Narcotics Trafficking Operation.

Mumbai Police have summoned social media influencer Orhan "Orry" Awatramani for questioning in connection with a ₹252-crore (approximately $30 million USD) drugs case. The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch has directed Orry to appear at their Ghatkopar unit on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 10 AM for questioning.

The summons comes as part of a broader investigation into a mephedrone seizure dating back to March 2024, where 126.14 kg of the drug, also known as 'MD,' was confiscated from a manufacturing unit in Sangli district, Maharashtra. The investigation has widened to examine potential links between influencers, celebrities, and underworld figures.

Orry's name reportedly surfaced during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, also known as "Lavish," who was recently deported from Dubai. Shaikh is alleged to have coordinated drug peddling and raw material supplies for drug manufacturing units across multiple states. Shaikh claimed he organized rave parties in India and abroad that were allegedly attended by Bollywood celebrities and other high-profile individuals.

According to reports, these parties allegedly involved drug consumption. The police are investigating claims that individuals such as Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, filmmakers Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, and even relatives of underworld figures like Dawood Ibrahim's deceased sister Haseena Parkar, were in attendance at these events. NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique's name has also been mentioned.

Authorities have clarified that Orry's questioning is part of a procedural effort to verify statements made by the arrested individuals and to either corroborate or refute the trafficker's claims. As of now, no charges have been filed against Orry. The ANC is also analyzing digital devices and communication records as part of the investigation.

This is not the first time Orry has been embroiled in controversy. Earlier in 2024, he was booked by the Jammu and Kashmir Police for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, near the Vaishno Devi shrine, where alcohol consumption is restricted. An FIR was filed in that instance for violating local laws and allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

The current investigation into the drug case is ongoing, with the Enforcement Directorate and the Mumbai Crime Branch also involved. Authorities have indicated that more celebrities, filmmakers, and other individuals may be summoned for questioning as the investigation progresses.
