PM Modi highlights India's youth power as the key factor behind the nation's diverse achievements.

NEW DELHI, December 1, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the energy and dedication of India's youth as the driving force behind the nation's triumphs in various fields, ranging from space exploration to sports and agriculture. In his recent address, the Prime Minister highlighted the pivotal role of young Indians in propelling the country towards becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).

Modi, in his monthly 'Mann ki Baat' address on Sunday, November 30, emphasized that the unwavering commitment of the youth is the "greatest strength of Viksit Bharat". He cited India's recent accomplishments in space, manufacturing, defense, and agriculture as evidence of their capabilities. He also acknowledged key moments such as the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram,' Constitution Day, and the hoisting of the 'Dharmadhwaja' at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as sources of inspiration.

The Prime Minister specifically pointed to the growing momentum within India's space program, referencing Skyroot's new Infinity Campus and a widely circulated video showcasing a drone competition organized by ISRO. In this competition, young participants were challenged to fly drones in simulated Martian conditions without GPS, relying solely on onboard cameras and software. Modi drew a parallel between the perseverance of these young participants and the ISRO scientists who turned the setback of Chandrayaan-2 into the resounding success of Chandrayaan-3. He noted that the success of Chandrayaan-3 stemmed from renewed confidence after failure, a quality he observed in the young drone competitors.

"Every time I see the dedication of our youth and the commitment of our scientists, my heart fills with enthusiasm," Modi stated. "This dedication is one of the greatest strengths of Viksit Bharat".

Furthermore, Modi highlighted the inauguration of the world's largest LEAP engine MRO facility in Hyderabad and the induction of INS Mahe into the Indian Navy as significant strides in the defense sector, aligning with the vision of a self-reliant India. He also touched upon the rise of bee farming initiatives, India's sporting achievements, and the nation winning the bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

In February 2025, during India Energy Week, Modi emphasized the crucial role of the energy sector in India's growth and the world's, outlining five pillars for India's energy ambitions: harnessing resources, encouraging innovation, economic strength and political stability, strategic geography for energy trade, and commitment to global sustainability. He noted the expansion of solar energy generation and the country's commitment to renewable energy targets.

The Prime Minister's remarks underscore the importance of India's youth in achieving its goals for a developed future. He sees their energy, innovation, and dedication as essential to India's continued success on the global stage.
