Amroha, UP: In a tragic incident late Wednesday night, four MBBS students lost their lives after their speeding car collided with a parked truck on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha. The accident occurred at approximately 10 PM near a flyover close to Atraasi village, within the Rajabpur police station area.

The victims, identified as Arnab Chakraborty, Ayush Sharma, Shresth Pancholi, and Saptarishi, were all students of Venkateshwara University and belonged to the 2020 batch. According to police reports, the car was traveling at high speed towards Delhi when it rammed into a DCM (truck) parked in front of a restaurant near the flyover. The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, resulting in the immediate death of all four occupants.

Upon receiving information about the accident, City Officer Abhishek Yadav and Station House Officer Komal Tomar arrived at the scene with a police force. With the help of local residents, the bodies were extricated from the mangled remains of the car. University officials, including Deputy Administrator Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, also reached the site. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary, and authorities have begun the process of informing the families of the deceased.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the high speed of the car led to the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the car was traveling at an extremely high speed, making it difficult for the driver to control the vehicle. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.

The accident has sent shockwaves through the student body and the university campus. News of the tragedy has cast a pall of gloom over Venkateshwara University, with students and faculty members expressing their grief and condolences.
