Apple Fitness+ is set to launch in India on December 15, 2025, marking its largest global expansion since its debut five years prior. This expansion will make the service available in 49 countries and regions worldwide. Apple Fitness+ is a subscription-based fitness service designed to seamlessly integrate with Apple devices, offering users guided workouts and personalized fitness plans.
The service offers a variety of workout types, including Strength, Yoga, HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, Treadmill, Rowing, and Meditation. Sessions range from 5 to 45 minutes, catering to both beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts. New sessions are added weekly.
Apple Fitness+ will be available in India for ₹149 per month or ₹999 per year. A single subscription can be shared with up to five family members. Customers who purchase a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2 from Apple or authorized retailers will receive a complimentary three-month subscription to Apple Fitness+.
Fitness+ allows users to track their workouts and wellness activities using their iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and Apple TVs. Real-time metrics, such as heart rate, calories burned, and Activity Ring progress, are displayed on-screen through connected devices. Users can connect AirPods Pro 3, Powerbeats Pro 2, or any Bluetooth heart rate monitor to see personal stats, like calories burned, while working out.
One of the key features of Apple Fitness+ is the ability to create Custom Plans based on preferred workout types, music, goals, and trainers. These plans provide personalized workout and meditation schedules. Users can also benefit from personalized recommendations based on their favorite activities, trainers, durations, and music. The service offers pre-built Custom Plans, such as "Get Started," "Stay Consistent," and "Push Further," to help users build and maintain a routine.
Apple Fitness+ also incorporates music integration through Apple Music. It features playlists across genres like Hip-Hop/R&B, Latin, K-Pop, and Latest Hits. The Artist Spotlight series offers workouts set to music by globally recognized artists, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, BTS, Selena Gomez, and Coldplay. A new K-Pop category will be available across all workout types.
In addition to workouts, Apple Fitness+ offers guided meditation sessions aimed at improving sleep and relieving stress. The Time to Walk audio series features inspiring stories from well-known personalities. Curated Collections help users take on focused workout challenges.
To access Apple Fitness+, users will need an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.1 or a newer version, or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later when paired with an iPhone 6s or later on iOS 14.3 or newer. The workouts are available in 4K Ultra High Definition.
