Motorola has officially launched the Edge 70 in India, marking the latest addition to its Edge series of smartphones. The device boasts a sleek design, a robust 50MP triple camera system, and a long-lasting battery, all aimed at delivering a premium user experience.
Design and Display:
The Motorola Edge 70 is notably slim, measuring just 5.99mm in thickness and weighing only 159g. It features an aircraft-grade aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, ensuring both elegance and durability. The device also meets MIL-STD-810H standards for military-grade durability and has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits of peak brightness. The display also supports HDR10+ content and is Pantone validated for accurate colors.
Performance and Software:
The Motorola Edge 70 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It comes with 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The phone runs on Android 16 with Hello UI and is promised to receive three major Android OS updates and four years of security updates. It also includes a large vapor chamber for efficient cooling during demanding tasks. The phone also comes with Moto AI tools.
Camera:
The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes a 50MP ultrawide camera and a three-in-one light sensor. On the front, there's a 50MP camera for selfies and video calls. All lenses support 4K video recording at 60fps, and the device incorporates AI-based photo and video enhancement tools.
Battery and Charging:
The Motorola Edge 70 packs a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is claimed to offer up to 40 hours of battery life under standard usage. It supports 68W wired TurboPower fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone also supports reverse charging, allowing users to charge other devices.
Pricing and Availability:
The Motorola Edge 70 is priced at Rs. 29,999 for the single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As part of the launch offer, customers can avail of a Rs. 1,000 bank discount on select bank cards. The phone will be available for purchase starting December 23 via Flipkart, the Motorola India online store, and other offline retail channels. It comes in three Pantone colorways: Bronze Green, Gadget Grey, and Lily Pad.
