Realme is set to launch its latest smartphones, the Realme Narzo 90 5G and Realme Narzo 90x 5G, in India today, December 16. The launch event promises to unveil the price, features, and specifications of these mid-range devices, expanding Realme's Narzo lineup.
Both the Narzo 90 5G and Narzo 90x 5G will be available for purchase via Amazon and Realme's official website shortly after the launch. Key specifications, including battery capacity, charging speed, camera configuration, and display features, have already been teased on a dedicated microsite on Amazon.
The Realme Narzo 90 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400-nit high-brightness mode. Leaks suggest it will have a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a 50MP front camera. The Narzo 90 5G will come in Victory Gold and Carbon Black color options.
The Realme Narzo 90x 5G is rumored to be equipped with the Dimensity 6300 chipset, also offering up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is also expected to feature a 6.8-inch display but with a higher 144Hz refresh rate. Camera-wise, it is tipped to sport a similar 50MP + 2MP rear camera setup and an 8MP front camera. The Narzo 90x 5G will be available in Flash Blue and Nitro Blue colors.
A notable feature of both smartphones is their large 7,000mAh battery with 60W wired fast charging support. The Narzo 90 5G will also support bypass charging and wired reverse charging. Both phones are confirmed to run Realme UI 6.0 out of the box. The Realme Narzo 90's display can reach up to 4,000 nits. In contrast, the Narzo 90x 5G's panel will reach up to 1,200 nits. The Narzo 90 will have a square rear camera module housing three lenses, while the Narzo 90x 5G will have a rectangular deco with two cameras. Both Narzo 90 series phones will feature several AI tools like AI Edit Genie, AI Editor, AI Eraser, and AI Ultra Clarity.
The Realme Narzo 90 5G is rumored to be priced at INR 17,999 (around $199) after offers, while the Realme Narzo 90x 5G is expected to start at INR 14,999 (approximately $165) after offers. Both models will be available in two configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. The standard model is teased to weigh about 181g while being 7.79mm thick. The Realme Narzo 90 is aimed at students and entry-level professionals. The smartphone will also carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water protection.
