Logitech has launched its newest flagship mouse, the MX Master 4, in India, targeting creative professionals, developers, and business users who demand high performance and versatility. The MX Master 4 introduces several upgrades over its predecessors, most notably the addition of haptic feedback and a deeper software integration.
The Logitech MX Master 4 is priced at Rs. 15,995 in India and is offered in Graphite and Pale Grey color options. As a bonus, it includes a one-month complimentary subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. It is also available for Rs. 11,995 on Amazon.in for a limited time.
One of the most significant additions to the MX Master 4 is the introduction of customizable haptic feedback, a feature typically found in gaming controllers. This technology provides subtle vibrations during scrolling, navigation, and selection, offering a tactile experience designed to enhance precision, particularly in tasks like video editing, design work, and data analysis. Users can adjust the intensity of the haptic feedback through the Logi Options+ software to suit their preferences.
The MX Master 4 also introduces the "Actions Ring," a digital overlay accessible through the Logi Options+ software. This feature allows users to pin their most-used shortcuts and app-specific tools directly on the screen, providing quick access to essential functions. Logitech claims that using the Actions Ring can reduce repetitive mouse movements by up to 63% and save professionals as much as 33% of their time, especially in applications like Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel.
Under the hood, the MX Master 4 retains the MagSpeed Scroll Wheel, enabling users to scroll through up to 1,000 lines per second. The mouse features an 8,000 DPI sensor for smooth and accurate tracking on various surfaces, including glass. Logitech has also focused on reducing noise, with the MX Master 4 featuring clicks that are 90% quieter than the MX Master 3.
Connectivity has been improved, with Logitech claiming twice the connectivity strength compared to previous models. The MX Master 4 pairs via a new USB-C dongle or Bluetooth and supports multi-device pairing, allowing users to seamlessly switch between three devices, such as laptops, desktops, and tablets. The device also supports Logi Bolt for stable connections in crowded office environments and Logi Sync for centralized deployment and remote monitoring.
Logitech has also emphasized sustainability with the MX Master 4. The mouse is constructed using a minimum of 48% post-consumer recycled plastic in the Graphite model, and the battery features 100% recycled cobalt. The packaging is made from FSC-certified paper, and the plastic parts are unpainted to facilitate easier disassembly.
The dimensions of the Logitech MX Master 4 are approximately 128.15 mm (height) x 88.35 mm (width) x 50.8 mm (depth), and it weighs around 150 grams. It features 8 buttons, including a gesture button, and supports horizontal scrolling via a thumb wheel.
