Critically acclaimed comedian Russell Peters is set to bring his "Relax World Tour" to India in March 2026. This tour, promoted by BEW Live and EVA Live, promises to be his largest in India, with shows planned in seven major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
Peters, recognized as one of Rolling Stone's 50 Best Comics of All Time, began his comedy journey at the age of 19, performing at open mics in Toronto. He honed his skills over fifteen years in clubs across Canada and the UK. In 2004, he gained international recognition for his CTV "Comedy Now!" special. In 2007, Peters became the first comedian to sell out Toronto's Air Canada Centre. He has since set attendance records at venues worldwide, including Madison Square Garden, the Sydney Opera House, and London's O2 Arena.
The "Relax World Tour" will feature Peters' signature blend of observational humor, cultural commentary, and improvisational crowd work. Audiences can anticipate new material along with his classic interactions with the crowd. Peters' comedy often revolves around family quirks, cultural clashes, and everyday life, delivered with sharp wit and spot-on impressions.
Peters' previous tours have been captured in successful specials broadcast on Showtime and Comedy Central, including "Outsourced" (2006), "Red, White, and Brown" (2008), and "The Green Card Tour" (2010). In 2013, he made history as the first comedian to create a Netflix Original Comedy Special. His "Deported World Tour" was seen by over 400,000 fans in 40 cities across 20 countries and was later released as a stand-up special on Amazon Prime in January 2020. He is currently touring with his "Act Your Age World Tour".
Beyond stand-up, Peters has received Gemini, Peabody, Emmy, and Canadian Screen Awards for his work as a host, producer, and actor. His TV series, "The Indian Detective," set a Canadian viewership record for Bell Media/CTV in 2017 and was released globally on Netflix.
Currently residing in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, Peters spends his time with his daughter, Crystianna, and son, Russell Santiago, when he is not touring. He also holds a blue belt with three stripes in Jiu Jitsu and is passionate about DJing and hip-hop.
Tickets for the "Relax World Tour" in India are expected to go on sale soon.
