The highly anticipated "Naagin 7" is set to premiere on December 27, 2025, on COLORS and JioHotstar, marking the return of India's longest-running fantasy television franchise after a three-year hiatus. This season celebrates 10 years of the iconic series and promises to be the biggest and most technologically advanced chapter yet.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will take on the lead role, with Namik Paul in a pivotal character. Adding to the excitement, Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash, popular faces from previous seasons, are also part of the cast. The ensemble cast includes Beena Banerjee, Alice Kaushik, and Ruhi Chaturvedi, promising to enrich the narrative with their performances.
Ekta Kapoor and JioStar's Balaji Telefilms are behind this new season. According to Ekta Kapoor, "Naagin has always been about pushing imagination to new frontiers and Season 7 is our biggest creative leap". Alok Jain from JioStar adds that "Naagin has long transcended television to become a cultural phenomenon".
"Naagin 7" will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 PM. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the Mahakumbh, where a toxic catastrophe sets off a chain of events across the country. The central character discovers her identity as the heir of the Anantkul and her crucial role in addressing the unfolding crisis. Promos suggest a clash involving serpents, dragons, and elemental powers, hinting at an epic scale for the season.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary describes her role as Purvi as a "dream turning real". She fondly remembers Ekta Kapoor's announcement on Bigg Boss about her becoming the next Naagin. Purvi is portrayed as a layered character who is soft, sincere, and unassuming but carries the legacy of the Anantkul's most powerful Naagin. She says, "That journey from innocence to extraordinary strength is what drew me to her".
Tejasswi Prakash will appear as Pragati, the mother of Priyanka's character, Ananta, in a cameo role. Her character's fate is expected to significantly shape the narrative, with her tragic death pushing Ananta on a quest for justice.
"Naagin 7" aims to redefine the fantasy genre on Indian television with expanded lore, cutting-edge visual effects, and a culturally rooted narrative. The season promises a blend of intense emotions, mystical lore, fierce battles, and dramatic revelations. With dragons, werewolves, and new mystical realms, "Naagin 7" expands the universe like never before, promising viewers a high-voltage drama filled with mystery and supernatural twists.
