Indian-origin student's arrest in US: Arson and a deadly attack investigation unfolds.

Frisco, Texas – Manojh Sai Lella, a 22-year-old student of Indian origin, has been arrested in Frisco, Texas, on charges of arson and making terroristic threats against his family. Lella, a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas, was taken into custody by Frisco police on Monday, December 22nd, following a call from family members reporting a mental health episode and alleged threats.

Responding officers were informed that Lella had allegedly attempted to set the family home on fire several days prior to his arrest. He now faces charges of arson with intent to damage a habitation or place of worship, a first-degree felony, and terroristic threat of a family/household member, a Class A misdemeanor.

While the arson charge includes the phrase "place of worship" under Texas law, authorities have clarified that there is no evidence to suggest that Lella targeted any religious site.

The court has set Lella's bond at \$100,000 for the arson charge and \$3,500 for the terroristic threat charge. Lella remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
