Raihan Vadra, the elder son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra, is making headlines not for his family's political legacy, but for his recent engagement to Aviva Baig. The couple, who have reportedly been in a relationship for seven years, recently exchanged rings in a private ceremony with close family members.

Born on June 29, 2000, Raihan, now 25, has largely maintained a low profile, carving out his own identity as a visual artist and photographer. Eschewing the traditional path of politics often associated with his family, Raihan has focused on his creative pursuits, establishing himself in the Indian art scene.

Raihan's artistic journey began at a young age, around seven, when his mother, Priyanka Gandhi, gifted him a camera. Inspired by his mother's enthusiasm for wildlife photography and his grandfather, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was also an avid photographer, Raihan developed a passion for capturing the world through his lens. His work spans various genres, including wildlife, street, and commercial photography, and he is also known for his immersive art installations.

He completed his schooling in Delhi and Dehradun, later pursuing higher education at SOAS University of London. In 2021, Raihan held his debut solo exhibition, "Dark Perception," at Bikaner House in New Delhi. The exhibition explored themes of imaginative freedom and drew from his experiences with light, space, and time following an eye injury he sustained during a school cricket match in 2017. He has since held other solo exhibitions, including "The India Story" in Kolkata, earning appreciation for his artistic vision. His exhibitions often incorporate installations, visual art, sound, and lighting to explore concepts such as control, choice, and comparison.

Aviva Baig, Raihan's fiancée, is also a photographer and producer based in Delhi. According to her Instagram bio, she is also the co-founder of Atelier 11, a photography studio and production company that works with clients across India. She studied at the Modern School in Delhi and holds a degree in Media Communication and Journalism from OP Jindal Global University. She has showcased her photography at various exhibitions. Sources indicate that Aviva and her family are based in Delhi, and both families share a close relationship.

The engagement ceremony was an intimate affair, with only close family members in attendance. Sources suggest that a larger celebration is planned for early January 2026 in Rajasthan, keeping the event private and away from public attention.

While Raihan has mostly stayed away from politics, he has made occasional appearances at political events, usually maintaining a low profile. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a photograph of Raihan and his younger sister, Miraya Vadra, casting their votes went viral on social media. Raihan has emphasized that he considers himself a normal person, with interests including football and photography.

As Raihan Vadra embarks on this new chapter in his life, he continues to focus on his artistic endeavors, building an independent identity beyond his family's political legacy.
