Shahid and Mira Kapoor Embrace 2026: A Journey of Thankfulness and Affection on the Horizon

Mumbai, January 2, 2026 - Actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife, Mira Rajput, have sailed into the New Year with a shared sense of "gratitude and love," as expressed by Mira in a heartfelt social media post. The couple, who celebrated the start of 2026 on a yacht, offered their reflections on the past year and excitement for the future.

Mira posted a charming photo on Instagram featuring herself and Shahid embracing on the yacht, both beaming. Her caption read, "Sailing into the new year with gratitude, strength, joy and the love of my life. So grateful for this year that gave life to my dreams, pushed me to 7th gear, made me rediscover myself and learn to be fearless about it all. It's not about perfection but perspective". She continued, "Laugh through the bumps and smile through the cruise because this year is going to be the journey that finds you! Here's to 2026, ready for you".

Shahid and Mira tied the knot in 2015 in a private ceremony in Gurgaon. They are parents to daughter Misha, born in 2016, and son Zain, born in 2018.

On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor is currently preparing for his role in Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming gangster film, "Arjun Ustara". The film, set in 1990s Mumbai, delves into the post-independence underworld and also stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda. "Arjun Ustara" is described as a love story amidst action and gangster intrigue, rooted in Mumbai's criminal landscape after independence. Shahid's last film, "Deva," an action thriller directed by Rosshan Andrrews, was released on January 31, 2025, and featured Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati. In "Deva," Shahid played a skilled police officer investigating a complex case involving deception and betrayal. Kapoor has said that "Deva" is a film best experienced on the big screen.

In a recent interview, Shahid's mother, Neelima Azeem, spoke about her close bond with her grandchildren, Misha and Zain. She described herself as a loving and available grandmother, adding that her grandchildren bring immense happiness to her life. According to Azeem, Zain resembles Shahid, while Misha reminds her of herself.
