Renu Desai, the former wife of actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, has once again found herself responding to online trolls who continue to scrutinize her divorce from Kalyan, which occurred over a decade ago. In a recent incident on Instagram, Desai addressed a comment that accused her of leaving Kalyan, clarifying that it was he who left her and remarried.

The exchange occurred under one of Desai's Instagram posts, where a user commented in Telugu, implying that she should have been more patient and that she misunderstood Kalyan, whom they described as "god-like". The user suggested that Desai regretted her decision to end the marriage.

Desai responded sharply, stating, "He left me and re-married, not the other way around. I request you to not torture me further with such comments". She further added, "If you had an ounce of intelligence, you wouldn't make such a foolish comment". This direct response highlights the ongoing scrutiny and unwarranted criticism Desai faces despite the years that have passed since their separation.

Desai and Kalyan were married for three years and divorced in 2012. They have two children together: a son, Akira Nandan, and a daughter, Aadhya. Both children have been seen supporting their father's endeavors; Akira has been involved in his political activities, and Aadhya recently accompanied Kalyan to a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Pawan Kalyan has since remarried Anna Lezhneva, and he recently assumed office as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Desai, however, has remained unmarried. In a 2018 interview, Desai stated that she had felt cheated and accused Kalyan of becoming a father to another daughter without informing her during their marriage. She also mentioned the hate messages she received from Kalyan's female fans.

This is not the first time Desai has had to confront online abuse. In the past, she has been trolled for considering remarriage and has consistently faced criticism from fans who blame her for the divorce. In 2023, she slammed a troll for abusing her and stated that she has been constantly targeted by Kalyan's fans and detractors since speaking about her divorce. She has also spoken about being accused of taking money both to speak about the divorce and to speak in favor of her ex-husband, simply for telling the truth.

Following the recent exchange, Desai deleted the comments and disabled the comment sections on her posts. This action underscores the emotional toll that such constant online harassment can take. Despite moving on with their lives, Desai continues to be subjected to unwarranted scrutiny and blame, highlighting the challenges faced by individuals in the public eye, especially after separation or divorce.
