Karan Kundrra on Intense Scrutiny of Relationship with Tejasswi Prakash: Acceptance Amidst Public Interest

Karan Kundrra has opened up about the constant scrutiny surrounding his relationship with Tejasswi Prakash, acknowledging the intense public interest in their lives. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Kundrra addressed the microscopic examination of their actions, stating that everything they do, from holding hands to simple gestures, is constantly analyzed.

Kundrra emphasized that he and Prakash are aware of the constant attention and have chosen to accept it as part of their profession. "In Teju's (Tejasswi's) and my case, everything we do...gets scrutinised," he said, explaining how even small gestures are dissected by the public. He further added, "The idea is that as long as Teju and I have the maturity to not get affected by all of this, then we are fine".

The couple, who began dating after meeting on Bigg Boss 15 in 2021, are fondly referred to as "TejRan" by their fans. Their relationship has remained a consistent topic of media coverage, with frequent speculation about marriage plans, collaborations, and even break-up rumors.

Kundrra highlighted the conscious decision he and Prakash made to be public figures. "Listen, we chose to be actors, we chose to do a show like Bigg Boss, and we chose to be out there. So we cannot complain about it," he stated. He contrasted their situation with that of other celebrities, like Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber, who manage to maintain a more private life despite their public presence. Kundrra noted that he and Prakash find it difficult to avoid the spotlight, as their work requires them to attend premieres and parties.

Addressing the negativity that sometimes accompanies public attention, Kundrra said, "We are actors, and we love getting love from people, but yes, there is a lot of hate that comes, a lot of scrutiny, and a lot of judgment that comes".

Tejasswi Prakash has also spoken about the scrutiny of their relationship, dismissing break-up rumors and explaining why she and Kundrra have not yet collaborated on a full-fledged show or film. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Prakash jokingly suggested that their combined fees might be too expensive for producers. "I feel people crave to see us together. But we are just too expensive together," she quipped. She also noted that both she and Kundrra are independently pursuing their own projects, which has not negatively impacted their careers.

Prakash has also addressed the break-up rumors, stating that they find the speculation amusing. "I know that there is a lot of focus on my personal life... But I don't think the entire focus is just on that… I know our fans keep themselves entertained. And that's fine. I'm okay with that. We find it funny. We actually laugh at it," she said.

In April 2025, Prakash shared that her parents encouraged her and Kundrra to live together, emphasizing the importance of understanding each other before marriage. She revealed that her family was very supportive of their live-in relationship.
