Adrija Roy, known for her role as Raahi in the popular television show "Anupamaa," is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Vignuesh Iyer. The couple took their relationship to the next level in a private ceremony held on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Sharing her joy, Adrija said, "It is a fantastic feeling to make my relationship official with the engagement". She posted photos from the South Indian engagement ceremony on her Instagram, captioning it, "Engaged to the love I prayed for… From a simple hello, to a sacred promise — my heart feels home. I love you My Love @vignuesh1".

The engagement consisted of two functions. The first was a traditional Tamilian puja and ceremony in the morning, which included the exchange of rings in an intimate setting. In the evening, the couple hosted an engagement party for friends and Adrija's co-stars.

The morning ceremony was a vibrant affair, with Adrija wearing a red Kanjeevaram silk sari paired with gold jewellery. Vignuesh complemented her in a teal blue kurta and a white veshti. For the evening celebrations, the couple coordinated their outfits.

Adrija explained the significance of the morning's traditional attire, stating, "Basically, this is a South Indian Tamil Brahmin family, and their ritual was like that". She added that Vignuesh's mother guided her in selecting the perfect Kanjeevaram silk sari from a South Indian saree showroom. They decided to wear contrasting outfits for the day and matched their attire for the evening function.

The engagement ceremony, held at Vignuesh's farmhouse, was an intimate affair with close family and friends. The open-air setting featured floral decorations and natural sunlight. A tree adorned with yellow marigold flowers served as a backdrop as the couple exchanged rings and garlands. Guests showered the couple with rose petals. Photos captured Vignuesh kissing Adrija on the forehead and hands.

Many of Adrija's "Anupamaa" co-stars and industry friends attended the evening engagement party, including Shivam Khajuria, Alka Kaushal, Satya Tiwari, Shiwani Chakraborty, Mazher Sayed, Sheersha Tiwari, Zalak Desai, and Jatin Suri. Adrija mentioned that Rupali Ganguly, who was in the Maldives, sent her blessings over a voice call. Producer Rajan Shahi also sent a message with his good wishes.

Adrija has already returned to shooting after the celebrations. She expressed gratitude to the audience for their support.

Adrija and Vignuesh reportedly met last year and bonded over shared values and their love for animals. The couple is planning a culturally blended wedding within the next two years.
