Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna's spy thriller, "Dhurandhar," has landed on Netflix today, January 30, 2026, after a blockbuster theatrical run. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film was released in theaters on December 5, 2025, and quickly became one of the highest-grossing releases of the year.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. "Dhurandhar" is the first installment in a two-part series and revolves around an anti-terror covert operation. In the film, an undercover agent infiltrates Karachi's criminal and political underworld in Pakistan. The plot incorporates elements of real-life events involving geopolitical tensions, such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and events surrounding Operation Lyari.
"Dhurandhar" has collected ₹835.83 crore in India and has grossed ₹1,301 crore worldwide. The film has also broken records at the box office, surpassing a 25-year-old record previously held by "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha". More than 35 million people have watched "Dhurandhar" in theaters, a feat last achieved by "Dangal".
The version of "Dhurandhar" streaming on Netflix has a runtime of 3 hours and 35 minutes, which is reportedly nine minutes shorter than the theatrical release of 3 hours and 34 minutes. Some viewers have expressed disappointment over the shorter runtime and have requested the uncut version. The film is available on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The digital streaming rights for both parts of "Dhurandhar" were acquired by Netflix for between ₹130 crore and ₹285 crore.
The second part of the "Dhurandhar" series, titled "Dhurandhar: The Revenge," is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi.
