Pavitra Punia, the Indian television actress, has postponed her wedding to her US-based businessman fiancé. The couple got engaged in October 2025 and had planned to tie the knot in March of this year.
Punia confirmed the postponement in an interview with the Hindustan Times, citing the recent death of her grandmother in December 2025 as the primary reason. The families have decided to delay the wedding by a minimum of six months as a result of this unfortunate event.
Punia stated that the new wedding date has not yet been finalized, but it will "definitely not be before August". She explained that the loss was unexpected, and they are still trying to cope with it.
Punia, who gained fame from her appearance on Bigg Boss 14, has been in the news for her personal life. Before getting engaged to her current fiancé, she was previously engaged to Eijaz Khan, but they broke up in 2024.
This isn't the first time Punia's wedding plans have been altered. Back in 2017, she announced her marriage to businessman Sumit Maheshwari, but the wedding never took place.
Punia's career includes roles in several popular television shows. She is known for playing the role of Dr. Nidhi Chhabra in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein".
