Aamir Khan, the Bollywood superstar, recently participated in a friendly exhibition pickleball game with fans at the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 held at Jio World Garden in Mumbai on Saturday, February 7. The match took an unexpected turn when the actor slipped and fell mid-play.
In a video that has since gone viral, the 60-year-old actor is seen moving forward to return a shot when he loses his footing and stumbles. He briefly rolled on the court before a co-player helped him to his feet. What followed has impressed fans across social media platforms: Khan, with a smile, quickly regained his composure and resumed playing.
Spectators present at the Jio World Garden cheered Khan’s sporting spirit. Social media users have also lauded the actor's positive attitude. Comments on the viral video include admiration for his fitness and resilience. One user wrote, "Fitness is good". Another comment read, "At his age, many people don't even step onto the ground," while another fan added, "He is so steady". Some users also expressed concern, hoping he was not injured in the fall.
Khan's presence at the WPBL 2026 was part of the league's initiative to promote pickleball and engage with the community. The league had organized a "Pickler Contest," offering Mumbai-based pickleball players the opportunity to play alongside the actor. Khan's participation aimed to leverage his popularity to increase the sport's visibility and encourage wider participation.
This isn't Khan's first involvement with the World Pickleball League. In February 2025, he and actor Ali Fazal participated in an exhibition match at the WPBL, showcasing their sporty side and engaging in playful banter that entertained the crowd.
Following the pickleball match, Aamir Khan responded to a reporter's comment about him being 60 years old by saying that he feels like he is 18. He jokingly added that he had forgotten his age and was thankful to be reminded.
Khan was last seen in the lead role in "Sitaare Zameen Par" last year and his upcoming production "Ek Din," starring his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, is highly anticipated.
