Delhi police have launched an investigation after three bodies were discovered inside a car parked on the Peeragarhi flyover on Sunday. The grim discovery has sparked concern and prompted a thorough investigation by law enforcement.
The deceased include two men and one woman. One woman and one man were reported to be approximately 40 years old, while the third individual was believed to be around 60 years of age. Authorities have identified one of the victims as Randhir Singh, aged 60. The identities of the other two, Lakshmi Singh, 40, and Shiv Narayan, 46, have also been confirmed.
The bodies were found inside a white Tata Tiago. Preliminary investigations suggest the deaths may have resulted from poisoning, as there were no visible signs of robbery, theft, or struggle at the scene. Valuables were found intact.
Police were alerted to the scene after receiving a PCR call about a suspicious vehicle parked on the flyover. Emergency personnel responded and found the three individuals motionless inside the car. A forensic team was called to examine the vehicle and collect evidence. The area was cordoned off to allow for a thorough investigation.
The bodies have been sent to a hospital for post-mortem examinations to determine the exact cause of death. Investigators are awaiting the autopsy reports to ascertain whether foul play was involved.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Sharma stated that the case appears to be a suicide. He noted that the victims may have consumed a beverage before taking their lives, but the exact motive remains under investigation. Police are working to determine the sequence of events, including the ownership of the vehicle and the circumstances that led to the incident. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
