Shefali Jariwala's Funeral: Husband Parag Tyagi and Hindustani Bhau Help Carry Her Body in Final Farewell

The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic "Kaanta Laga" music video, who passed away at the age of 42 on Friday, June 27, 2025. News of her sudden demise has shocked fans and colleagues alike.

Shefali was reportedly rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, Parag Tyagi, but was declared dead on arrival. While initial reports suggest a possible cardiac arrest as the cause of death, the exact reason has not yet been officially confirmed. Mumbai police have stated that Shefali was found dead in her Mumbai flat and her body was sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the last rites were held in Oshiwara. A video circulating online shows Shefali's husband, Parag Tyagi, and her Rakhi brother, Hindustani Bhau (Vikas Fhatak), carrying her mortal remains along with other family members and friends. Parag was seen visibly devastated. Her mother, Sunita, and sister, Shivani, were also present and appeared inconsolable.

Arti Singh, who shared a close bond with Shefali since their time on Bigg Boss 13, was seen in tears during the rituals. Rashami Desai was also present to pay her respects and console the family.

Cooper Hospital issued a statement confirming that Shefali Jariwala was brought from Bellevue Hospital and pronounced dead there. A post-mortem examination was conducted by government doctors.

Shefali Jariwala rose to fame with the "Kaanta Laga" music video in 2002. She also appeared in the film "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi". Later, she participated in the dance reality show "Nach Baliye" with her husband Parag Tyagi and was a contestant on "Bigg Boss 13". Her past relationship with fellow Bigg Boss 13 contestant, the late Sidharth Shukla, also drew attention.

Just days before her death, Shefali had posted pictures of herself in a silver jumpsuit on social media.

Many celebrities have expressed their condolences on social media, including Mika Singh, Divyanka Tripathi, Aly Goni, Rajiv Adatia, and Kamya Panjabi. Tehseen Poonawalla, who was also on Bigg Boss 13 with Shefali, expressed his shock and remembered her fondly. Manmeet Singh of Meet Bros also mourned Shefali's demise.
