A minor dispute over vehicle parking in Mundaka village, located on the Haryana-Rajasthan border in Haryana's Nuh district, escalated into a violent clash on Monday. Dozens were injured as people from both sides engaged in stone pelting, glass bottle attacks, and arson. Several shops were also burnt down during the altercation.

The initial altercation reportedly began when a man, identified as the son of Isra and a resident of Hajipur village, parked his car in the middle of the road. Samay Singh, a local resident, approached him and asked him to move the vehicle. An argument ensued, during which the young man in the car allegedly attacked Singh with a glass bottle, which led to further escalation. Youths from both communities got involved, and a scuffle broke out. Local residents from both communities joined in, throwing stones and glass bottles from rooftops, causing injuries and disrupting traffic. A motorcycle and a kiosk were set on fire allegedly by the mob.

Nuh Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Kumar stated that the violence was confined to the immediate dispute and did not involve wider community violence. He also confirmed that the initial fight was between two young men over parking. SP Rajesh Kumar said that the police responded swiftly to bring the situation under control, and three persons were detained. Two police companies have been deployed in the village to maintain law and order.

Local authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and not to believe or spread rumors. A Nuh police spokesperson stated that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found guilty of violence or spreading misinformation. Police have registered a case in connection with the violence and have launched a manhunt to nab those involved. The injured have received primary treatment.
