Lady Gaga is confirmed to perform at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on September 7th at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. The show will broadcast on CBS, stream live on Paramount+, and simulcast on MTV. LL Cool J will host the ceremony.
Gaga's Nominations and History with the VMAs
Lady Gaga leads this year's nominations with 12 nods, including Artist of the Year and Best Album for "Mayhem". Her nominations also include recognition for her music videos "Die With a Smile" and "Abracadabra". Throughout her career, Lady Gaga has amassed 57 VMA nominations. She last performed on the VMA stage in 2020, where she sang hits from her album "Chromatica," including "Rain on Me" with Ariana Grande.
Other Performers and Honorees
The VMAs will feature performances from other artists, including Doja Cat, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Conan Gray, and Tate McRae. Mariah Carey will receive the Video Vanguard Award and perform a medley of her hits. Busta Rhymes will be honored with the Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Ricky Martin will receive the Latin Icon Award. Alex Warren, J Balvin, DJ Snake, Sabrina Carpenter, and sombr will also perform.
New Award Categories and Fan Voting
This year's VMAs will include two new categories: Best Country Artist and Best Pop Artist. Fan voting is open until September 5th, except for the Best New Artist category, which will remain open during the live show.
