Furthermore, PM Modi raised the critical issue of terrorism, calling for China's support in combating this global menace. He outlined India's zero-tolerance stance on terrorism, emphasizing that both India and China are victims of this scourge. China expressed its support for India in its fight against terror.

The discussions also extended to global issues, including the impact of trade protectionism. Both leaders recognized the challenges posed by the tariffs imposed by the United States and the need for a united front among China, India, and Russia.

PM Modi extended an invitation to President Xi Jinping to attend the BRICS summit to be held in India in 2026. This invitation signifies the commitment of both nations to strengthen their cooperation on multilateral platforms.
