Despite receiving largely negative reviews from critics, Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4 has managed to rake in approximately ₹12 crore net in India on its opening day. This figure, while respectable, doesn't quite reach the heights of Baaghi 3, which earned ₹17.5 crore on its first day. Baaghi 2 remains the franchise's biggest opener with ₹25.10 crore, while the original Baaghi had a similar opening to the fourth installment, with ₹11.85 crore.

The film's opening day occupancy was recorded at 28.32% Hindi occupancy, with evening and night shows peaking at 37.23%. Cities like Jaipur, Lucknow, Chennai, Bengaluru, and NCR showed particularly strong responses.

Several factors contributed to Baaghi 4's moderate performance. One significant challenge was the strong competition from the Hollywood horror film, The Conjuring: Last Rites, which had a record-breaking debut in India with ₹18 crore. This James Wan-produced film overshadowed Baaghi 4, becoming the biggest Hollywood horror opener ever in India.

Despite the film's average start, Baaghi 4 has surpassed the opening day collection of Siddharth Malhotra and Janvi Kapoor's Param Sundari, which earned ₹7.37 crore. The film has also pushed Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 out of the top 10 Bollywood openers of 2025.

Baaghi 4 features Tiger Shroff alongside Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva and Upendra Limaye. Directed by A. Harsha, the film aims to continue the franchise's legacy of high-octane action. However, some critics have pointed out that the film falls short due to a routine story, a boring screenplay, and a considerable lag in the narrative. Some reviewers also felt that the film suffered from excessive censorship, with 23 cuts made by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which diluted the impact of the action sequences.

Nishit Shaw, a film critic, noted that Baaghi 4 is packed with non-stop action and violence and that Tiger Shroff has evolved as an actor, showcasing his vulnerability. However, the critic also pointed out that the second half could have been sharper, with more convincing aspects and better dialogues.

Other critics were less forgiving, with one review calling the film a "close to three-hour hallucination". They criticized the senseless action and bizarre story, as well as the performances of some of the cast members. Another reviewer felt that the film's core point was not strong enough and that the love track in the first half was extremely boring.

Despite the mixed to negative reviews, some viewers have praised the film's intense action and emotional storyline. One user commented that the film is "violent, loud, over-the-top & unapologetically made for the action crowd". Another user remarked that the film "bleeds action—but beneath the chaos lies a story that hits different. Twisted, emotional, and anything but predictable".

It remains to be seen whether Baaghi 4 can maintain its momentum over the weekend and achieve significant box office success. The film's performance will depend on word-of-mouth and its ability to attract audiences despite the negative reviews and competition from other films.

Tiger Shroff's upcoming projects include Maktoob (2025) and Singham Again (2024).
