Abhay Verma, fresh off the success of "Munjya," is generating buzz about his potential role in the upcoming action thriller "King," starring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. While Verma has not officially confirmed his involvement, his statements have fueled speculation and excitement among fans.

Verma has expressed his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, calling him his "God and hero". He conveyed his eagerness to meet and work with the superstar, even joking about taking on a small role just to be a part of the experience. "But hopefully, fingers crossed, I mean that way I'll get to meet my God, meet my hero," Verma stated in an interview.

According to reports, Verma will play a pivotal role in "King," which is directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment in collaboration with Siddharth Anand's Marflix. The film is touted to be a unique action thriller featuring Shah Rukh Khan in a raw and rugged avatar, depicting a mentor-protegee relationship between his character and Suhana Khan's. Abhishek Bachchan is rumored to play the antagonist.

Filming for "King" has reportedly commenced in Mumbai, with Suhana Khan and Abhay Verma already shooting key scenes. Shah Rukh Khan is expected to join the production later. The film boasts a star-studded cast, with Deepika Padukone in a significant role and Rani Mukerji reportedly playing Suhana's mother.

Verma has acknowledged the rumors surrounding his role in "King" but refrained from making any definitive statements. He admitted to feeling nervous and honored to be considered for the project. "Honestly, I have never been so nervous in life. I wish I could tell the world that 'This is happening', 'Yeh main kar raha hoon (I'm doing this)', etc. I am so sorry, but abhi zyada kuch batane ke liye nahin hai(There is nothing much to tell about)," Verma said.

Despite the uncertainty, Verma expressed his gratitude for the opportunities he has received and his desire to inspire aspiring actors. He emphasized the importance of authenticity in the acting industry and shared his fulfillment in inspiring others with his journey.

"King" is anticipated to be a major cinematic event, with action sequences designed by top industry talents and music composed by Anirudh. The film is scheduled to be shot in India and abroad. While the exact release date is yet to be announced, "King" is expected to hit theaters in 2026.
