The investigation into the shooting outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani's residence in Bareilly has taken a dramatic turn with the emergence of CCTV footage and the subsequent encounter that resulted in the death of the two alleged shooters. The incident, which occurred on September 12th at approximately 3:45 AM, involved two individuals on a motorcycle firing multiple rounds at the actress's ancestral home in the Civil Lines area of Bareilly.

CCTV footage has surfaced, revealing the moments leading up to the shooting. The video shows two individuals arriving on a white motorcycle. One of them is seen firing shots at the house. The shooters narrowly missed Disha Patani's father, Jagdish Patani, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, who was inside the house with Disha's mother and sister. He managed to evade injury by taking cover behind a balcony pillar.

Following the shooting, gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the attack. The motive behind the attack is believed to be related to alleged remarks made by Disha Patani and her sister, Khushboo Patani, about religious figures Sant Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya. Khushboo Patani, a retired army major and wellness coach, had allegedly criticized Aniruddh Acharya for misogynistic comments in a video posted on her Instagram story. These remarks were then misattributed to Premanand Ji Maharaj, leading to public criticism. According to Amitabh Yash, Additional Director General (ADG) of Law and Order, the aim of the Goldy Brar gang was to spread fear among the public.

In a swift response to the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured Disha Patani's father of strict action against the accused and enhanced security measures. He directed the police to solve the case swiftly. A joint operation was launched by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), Haryana STF, and Delhi Police to apprehend the culprits.

The investigation led to an encounter near Ghaziabad's Tronica City on Wednesday, September 17th, where the two accused, Ravindra alias Kallu and Arun, were fatally injured. They later succumbed to their injuries. During the encounter, a constable from the Haryana police sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Police recovered sophisticated pistols and a large quantity of 9mm cartridges from the scene. Authorities have identified the recovered firearms as Turkish-made Zigana and Austrian Glock pistols, highlighting the use of smuggled foreign weapons by organized criminal gangs.

The police investigation revealed that Ravindra and Arun were affiliated with the notorious gangsters Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara. According to police sources, the duo had been hired for reconnaissance prior to the shooting. Authorities are currently gathering information on all members of the gang to take action against the entire network. The Uttar Pradesh government has reiterated its commitment to taking strict legal action against those who spread fear among the public, vowing a zero-tolerance policy against crime.
