Veteran actor Rajat Bedi is expressing his gratitude and excitement after working with Shah Rukh Khan and his son, Aryan Khan, on Aryan's directorial debut, "The Ba***ds of Bollywood". Bedi, who is making a comeback after a long break from mainstream cinema, plays the role of Jaraj Saxena in the series.
Bedi shared his feelings in an Instagram post, featuring a photo of himself alongside Shah Rukh, Aryan, and his own son, Vivaan Bedi. In the caption, he thanked Aryan for including him in the project and praised Shah Rukh for raising a talented storyteller who inspires others. He wrote, "Two generations, one frame. Thank you Aryan for writing me into this dream and Sir @iamsrk for raising a storyteller who raised ALL OF US … Grateful beyond words. #Blessed". Previously, Bedi had also called Aryan an "angel" in another post.
In an interview, Bedi revealed that he had been in Canada when the production team contacted him. He was surprised to learn that Aryan Khan wanted to meet him. After Aryan narrated the story of the show, Bedi was excited and asked Aryan to connect him with Shah Rukh Khan. Bedi recalled asking SRK about the project, to which Shah Rukh replied, "Dekh le tereko karna hai toh… mera beta kuch kar raha hai (See if you want to do it… my son is making something)".
Bedi agreed to join the project on one condition: that his son could assist Aryan Khan. "I'll only do your project if you allow my son to assist you. I started my career with your father, my son will start his career with you," he told Aryan. Aryan accepted the condition, and Bedi's son has been working with him for the past two years. Rajat's son Vivaan assisted Aryan on the show.
