Divya Dutta Cherishes Dharmendra's Impactful Presence: A Precious Bond and Deep Affection Remembered.

As the nation unites in praying for the swift recovery of veteran actor Dharmendra, actress Divya Dutta has shared a heartfelt reflection on the profound impact the legendary actor has had on her life. Dutta expressed that Dharmendra holds a special place in her heart, emphasizing the bond created by the "He-Man" of Bollywood through his remarkable cinematic journey.

Dutta revealed that her connection with Dharmendra extends beyond the realm of cinema, as they share the same hometown, Sahnewal, in Punjab. She fondly recalled her childhood memories of visiting his house with her mother and grandmother, cherishing the warmth, love, and Punjabi conversations over tea. Her mother always referred to Dharmendra as her brother. She reminisced about listening to stories of the actor's visits to his old house, where he would often arrive and leave without much fanfare.

While stuck in Mumbai traffic, listening to a Dharmendra song, Dutta reflected on how the veteran actor has carved a special place in the hearts of every movie lover, including herself.

Dutta made her acting debut in 1994 with "Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna". She played the lead role in the 1995 drama "Veergati", alongside Salman Khan. She is known for her performances in films such as "Veer-Zaara", "Welcome to Sajjanpur" and "Delhi-6".

Dutta also shared an anecdote from a time when she presented Dharmendra with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Canada. During the felicitation, Dharmendra took the microphone and surprised everyone by revealing that he had not initially encouraged Dutta to join the film industry. He acknowledged that times were different then, and he was being protective, but he was now happy that she hadn't listened to him. Dutta said it felt like a very big honour at that time.

Dharmendra, known as the "He-Man" of Bollywood, gained immense popularity in the mid-1960s with films like "Ayee Milan Ki Bela" and "Phool Aur Patthar". He has starred in numerous iconic movies throughout his career, including "Sholay". In recent years, he has appeared in films such as "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani" and "Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya". He is set to star in Sriram Raghavan's "Ikkis", a film based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal during the 1971 war.
