As Mother's Day approaches on May 11th, actress Bhagyashree is sharing a powerful message about motherhood, emphasizing the importance of raising independent children. The "Maine Pyar Kiya" star believes that being a good mother goes beyond simply protecting children; it's about equipping them with the skills and resilience they need to navigate the world on their own.

Bhagyashree took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note alongside a throwback picture with her son, Abhimanyu, and daughter, Avantika. In her message, she reflects on her experiences as a mother and shares the lessons she has learned throughout her journey. She stresses that while a mother's instinct is to shield her children, true love means preparing them to face life's challenges head-on.

"My children mean the world to me, and there is nothing I wouldn't do for them, but if I truly did that, I would not be a good mom". Bhagyashree underscores this point, explaining that children need to learn independence, grow from their mistakes, rise after they fall, and help others facing adversity. She believes that parents should guide their children initially but eventually allow them the freedom to run on their own.

Bhagyashree also touches upon the realities of today's world, which she describes as "fierce as the jungle". In such an environment, she believes survival is key, and children need to be equipped to handle anything that comes their way. She asserts that her primary goal as a mother is to ensure her children are capable of facing any challenge life throws at them.

Bhagyashree feels that many Indian parents raise their children to be overly dependent, which she believes is not beneficial in the long run. She states that she has set her children on a path where they are capable of looking after themselves, so they don't constantly feel like they need her.

Bhagyashree has previously spoken about the challenges of balancing her career and motherhood. She has also shared her belief in fostering gender equality within the home from a young age. She has mentioned taking her daughter to film sets and acknowledged the daily fight mothers face to balance their dreams and responsibilities. Bhagyashree also said she didn't believe in leaving her children with nannies, expressing a desire to be actively involved in their upbringing.

Bhagyashree's message resonates with many as Mother's Day approaches. Her emphasis on fostering independence and resilience in children offers a fresh perspective on motherhood, encouraging parents to empower their children to become capable and self-sufficient individuals. Instead of constant protection, Bhagyashree advocates for guidance that allows children to learn, grow, and ultimately thrive on their own.
