Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has made a strong statement, asserting that Pakistan should be "wiped out" from the world map, referring to its citizens as "bloody cockroaches". This declaration comes in the wake of a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 27 individuals and left more than 20 injured. The Resistance Front (TRF), believed to have links to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based group, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Ranaut's remarks were shared on her Instagram stories, where she lauded the Indian army and criticized Pakistan's alleged involvement in the Pahalgam attack, which was reportedly discussed at a UNSC meeting. She stated that Pakistan is a "creepy, nasty nation full of terrorists" that should be eliminated from the global map.

These comments have surfaced following India's launch of "Operation Sindoor" on May 7, a targeted strike against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. This operation was a direct response to the Pahalgam attack and involved missile strikes on nine locations identified as terrorist hubs, including Bahawalpur and Muridke.

Ranaut has also praised the S-400 air defense system, referring to it as "Our Sudarshan Chakra," and credited it with demolishing a Pakistani air attack. She highlighted the S-400 deal, signed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government with Russia in 2018, as a crucial element of India's defense capabilities.

The actress has a history of expressing strong opinions on matters of national security and has often used her platform to voice her support for the Indian armed forces. Following the launch of Operation Sindoor, Ranaut, along with other Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, voiced their support for the mission. She shared videos on her Instagram, expressing solidarity with the armed forces and invoking a sense of divine protection for those safeguarding the nation.

In addition to her recent statements, an old clip of Ranaut criticizing Bollywood actors and Indian cricketers for collaborating with Pakistani artists has resurfaced and gained traction on social media. In the clip, she emphasizes the importance of supporting soldiers guarding the borders and suggests that such collaborations can be demoralizing for them.

Ranaut's recent comments have sparked varied reactions on social media, with some users praising her for her strong stance against terrorism, while others have criticized her for using inflammatory language. Some users have noted that Ranaut's views often seem extreme initially but gain relevance in light of subsequent events.

It's important to note that this isn't the first time Kangana Ranaut has made headlines for her remarks about Pakistan. In May 2024, she responded to an opposition leader's statement by saying that if Pakistan was not wearing bangles, India would make them wear them, while also noting Pakistan's need for necessities such as flour and electricity.
