Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated sharply, with Pakistan launching a military operation against India. The operation, named "Bunyan ul Marsoos," is described by Pakistan as a response to "continuous provocation" by India.

According to reports, the Pakistani military is engaging multiple strategic targets across India. Geo TV reports that a BrahMos missile storage facility in Beas has been destroyed. Initial reports also indicate that Pakistan has used Turkish-made drones in the attacks. Approximately 300-400 drones allegedly provided by Turkey were used to target military and civilian areas in India. These drones reportedly violated Indian airspace along the entire western border, from Leh in Ladakh to Sir Creek in Gujarat, at 36 locations.

India has responded to these attacks, with the military claiming to have brought down a number of drones using kinetic and non-kinetic means. Forensic analysis of the drone debris suggests they are 'Asis Guard Songar' drones of Turkey. India has also launched a counterstrike, codenamed "Operation Sindoor," targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). India has closed thirty-two airports across northern and western parts of the country, including Srinagar and Amritsar, for civilian flight operations until May 15.

Pakistan's military has stated that three of its air bases were attacked by Indian missiles, including one near the army headquarters in Islamabad. Military spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry identified the targeted bases as Nur Khan base, Murid base, and Shorkot base. Pakistan has also shut its airspace.

The international community is closely watching the situation. The White House has indicated that President Trump is advocating for de-escalation between India and Pakistan. The G7 Foreign Ministers have condemned the Pahalgam attack and urged restraint from both India and Pakistan.

This recent escalation follows a period of heightened tensions, including the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in the death of 26 civilians. India launched "Operation Sindoor" on May 7 in response to the attack. India has maintained that its response is focused, measured, and non-escalatory, targeting terror camps and avoiding Pakistani military establishments.

The current conflict has raised concerns about regional stability. There have been reports of intense shelling in international border areas, leading to emergency measures in sensitive regions. Blackouts were imposed in several cities across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan following the interception of Pakistani drones and subsequent explosions.
