The recent verbal exchange between Rubina Dilaik and Rajat Dalal on their show "Battleground" regarding fitness has sparked considerable discussion. The disagreement arose after Rajat questioned Rubina's fitness levels, leading to a heated on-screen debate. Rubina, who gave birth to twins 18 months ago, defended herself, emphasizing that fitness isn't solely about physical appearance.
Adding to the discussion, Rubina's husband, Abhinav Shukla, has also weighed in on the matter. Abhinav was recently spotted with Rubina in Mumbai, where they were approached by paparazzi. When questioned about the argument, Rubina stated that Abhinav would provide a suitable response. Abhinav then shared his perspective on fitness, stating, "Fitness pata hai kya hoti hai? Fitness hoti hai jo dikhti hai, aur fitness hoti hai jo dikhti nahi hai. Toh humko lagta hai ke sab aise hai toh fit hai (does gesture of bulked-up body), aisa nahi hai. Apne fit dost hai woh Fauji log, ek roti khaake jung ladte hai. Yeh hai fitness". This translates to: "Do you know what fitness is? There is fitness that is visible, and there is fitness that is not visible. We often assume that anyone with a muscular physique is fit – but that's not the full picture. For me, the truly fit ones are my friends in the army. They survive on just one roti and still have the strength to fight battles. That's real fitness".
Abhinav further added, "Bade se bada jo gym rat hai na woh aajaye, aadhe ghante baad bolega mere ko protein khana hai (We did a trek, 30 kilometers in a day, including her mother. If the biggest gym rat comes, he will ask for protein in half an hour)". This comment has been interpreted by some as a subtle jab at Rajat Dalal, implying that true fitness is about endurance and inner strength, not just muscular build.
Rubina also added, "Kabhi kabhi, sahi samay par aap sahi shabd bolte hai toh uska impact zyada hota hai. Baar baar agar prashna uthaya jaaye, toh unhe unka jawab dena hie chahiye (Sometimes, if you say the right words at the right time, it has a greater impact. If questions are raised repeatedly, you must answer them)".
Despite the conflict, Rubina and Rajat are reportedly set to reunite in "Laughter Chefs season 2".
The incident with Rajat Dalal isn't the first time Rubina and Abhinav have faced controversy. Previously, Abhinav criticized Asim Riaz for questioning Rubina's role on "Battleground". This disagreement escalated to the point where Abhinav allegedly received death threats, prompting him to seek police assistance.
