These smart glasses allow users to perform a variety of tasks hands-free, including making calls, capturing photos and videos, streaming media, and accessing real-time information through voice commands using Meta AI. Pre-orders have begun, with the collection hitting stores on May 19, 2025.
Price and Availability
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are priced starting at ₹29,900. The Skyler and Wayfarer designs in Shiny Black start at this price, while the Wayfarer Matte Black option is priced at ₹32,100. The Skyler Chalk Grey and Wayfarer Matte Black designs will cost ₹35,700. They are available for pre-order on Ray-Ban’s official website and will be available for purchase starting May 19 at leading optical and sunglass stores across India.
Design and Styles
The smart glasses are available in two frame styles: the classic Wayfarer (standard and large) and the new Skyler. Customers can select from sun, clear, polarized, or transition lenses. Prescription lenses are also available for a nominal price. The glasses come in various colors, including see-through frames.
Camera and Multimedia
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses feature an enhanced 12MP ultra-wide camera that captures high-quality photos and 1080p videos (up to 60 seconds). A five-microphone array supports immersive audio recording, capturing sounds from all directions. The glasses also have discreet, open-ear speakers with improved bass and volume, offering an immersive audio experience without blocking ambient sounds. Adaptive Volume Control automatically adjusts to surrounding noise levels.
Meta AI Integration
With built-in Meta AI, users can use voice commands by saying "Hey Meta" to ask questions, identify surroundings, and control media. Meta AI can provide real-time assistance, such as contextual information, navigation support, and live voice translation. The glasses support real-time translation between English, French, Italian, and Spanish, which can function offline once language packs are downloaded. Users can also record and send voice messages on WhatsApp and Messenger.
Connectivity and Compatibility
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses connect to iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. They integrate with WhatsApp and Messenger, with Instagram integration coming soon, enabling users to send messages and make audio or video calls directly from the glasses.
Battery Life and Other Features
The glasses offer up to four hours of active use on a single charge, with the charging case extending the total use to 36 hours. The charging case can charge the glasses to 50% in approximately 22 minutes. The glasses are also water-resistant with an IPX4 rating. The Meta View app allows users to manage content, continue AI conversations, and perform AI-driven photo edits.
Additional Features and Integrations
Meta is expanding integrations with Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, and iHeartRadio, allowing users to use voice commands to search and play content. The glasses also support the Be My Eyes app, connecting visually impaired users with sighted volunteers for assistance via POV video calling.
