A four-year-old boy has died under suspicious circumstances at a school in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. Police suspect the child may have been assaulted by two teachers at the institution.
According to police reports, the school administration contacted the boy's family on Friday, informing them that he had lost consciousness. The school staff and family members transported the child to a hospital. He was then referred to another hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The body has been sent to SRN Hospital for a post-mortem examination, with the family's consent.
The family has filed a complaint alleging that two teachers physically assaulted the child. Based on this complaint, an FIR (First Information Report) has been registered at the Naini police station.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Yamuna Nagar), Vivek Chandra Yadav, stated that while the family has not alleged sexual assault, the post-mortem report indicates a possible injury suggesting sexual abuse, which cannot be ruled out. Police are investigating the case from all angles, and CCTV footage from the school is being examined. The post-mortem revealed injuries near the boy's eye, on his tongue, and near his private parts. The officer added that a clear statement can only be made after the investigation is complete.
