Following the leak of these photos, Jacqueline issued a statement via her Instagram account, appealing to the media to respect her privacy and refrain from circulating images that intruded on her personal space. She expressed her faith in her fans and friends to support her through the "rough patch" she was experiencing and voiced her hope that "justice and good sense prevails".

During court proceedings, Jacqueline described how Sukesh Chandrasekhar had manipulated her emotions, turning her life into "hell". She stated that she was initially misled by Sukesh, who concealed his real identity and background from her. She also claimed that Pinky Irani, an associate of Chandrashekhar, was aware of his activities but never disclosed them to her. Sukesh had introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and falsely claimed that J. Jayalalithaa, the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, was his aunt.

Jacqueline admitted to receiving gifts from Sukesh, including expensive watches, bags, clothing items, a crockery set, and a massage chair. She stated that these gifts were delivered to her either through her manager, Pinky Irani, or her stylist, without any accompanying bills. Her lawyer argued in court that Jacqueline was unaware that the gifts she received from Sukesh were connected to a money laundering case and that she did not know the gifts were obtained from illegal sources. She has denied any involvement in the scandal.

The court questioned whether a person is obligated to know the source of gifts they receive. The High Court is scheduled to further examine the matter. Jacqueline has also claimed that her career and livelihood have been impacted by the actions of Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Pinky Irani, stating that they "played with her emotions".
