"Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" is making waves at the Indian box office, exceeding expectations and setting new benchmarks for the franchise. The film, starring Tom Cruise, has garnered an impressive ₹38.81 crore in India within its first three days of release, outperforming its predecessor, "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One."

The film had a strong opening weekend, earning ₹16.5 crore on Saturday and ₹17 crore on Sunday. Despite the usual Monday drop, "Mission: Impossible 8" held steady, raking in ₹5.31 crore. This robust performance brings the total collection to ₹38.81 crore, signaling a positive trajectory for the film's overall earnings in India.

In comparison, "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" had a ₹12.3 crore opening and accumulated ₹30.2 crore in its first three days. The latest installment has not only surpassed these figures but has also emerged as the highest Hollywood opener in India for 2025, surpassing the earnings of Marvel's "Thunderbolts."

The strong performance of "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning" can be attributed to several factors, including Tom Cruise's dedicated fan base in India, positive word-of-mouth, and the film's release during a prime weekend slot. The movie has received good reviews, with some early viewers calling it a "yawn fest" and a "sad end" to one of the greatest franchises ever.

The film recorded high occupancy rates across different versions, with the English version leading at 41.84%. Chennai reported the highest occupancy at 42% on Monday.

Globally, "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning" has already grossed ₹150 crore in its first two days, demonstrating its international appeal. As the film continues its theatrical run, it will be interesting to see if it can maintain its momentum and surpass the lifetime earnings of previous "Mission: Impossible" films in the Indian market.
