In separate incidents that have raised serious concerns about the security of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, a man and a woman were taken into custody for trespassing into his residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai. The incidents occurred on consecutive days, with the man entering the premises on May 20, 2025, and the woman attempting to do so on May 22, 2025.
According to reports, the man, identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh, a 23-year-old from Chhattisgarh, illegally entered the actor's house around 7:15 pm on Tuesday. He was apprehended shortly after and is currently in police custody. Initial investigations suggest that Singh had been seen lingering near the building earlier in the day and, upon being asked to leave by security personnel, broke his mobile phone and argued with the staff. He later gained access to the building by entering in a vehicle registered to a resident of the complex. During questioning, Singh reportedly told police that he wanted to meet the actor in person. An FIR has been filed against Singh under relevant sections of trespassing, and authorities are investigating potential security lapses.
The second incident occurred on Thursday morning when a woman also attempted to trespass into Salman Khan's residence. She was promptly taken into custody by the Mumbai Police. Details about her identity and motives are still awaited as investigations are underway.
These recent breaches have heightened concerns about Salman Khan's safety, who already has Y+ category security due to prior threats against his life. In April 2024, two individuals on a motorcycle fired several rounds outside Galaxy Apartments before fleeing, an act later claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Following this incident, Khan was granted Y+ security, which includes personal security officers, commandoes, escort vehicles, and police personnel.
In light of recurring threats, Salman Khan has taken additional measures to fortify his security. Bulletproof glass has been installed on the balcony of his Bandra residence, and a high-tech security system, including high-resolution CCTV cameras, has been implemented. A dedicated person monitors the camera footage to detect any suspicious activity outside the residence.
Past incidents include a security breach at Salman Khan's farmhouse in Panvel in January 2024, where two men were detained for trespassing. The actor has also received multiple death threats over the years, including a WhatsApp message threatening to bomb his car and enter his home earlier this year.
The Mumbai Police are taking the recent trespassing incidents seriously and are expected to tighten security around Galaxy Apartments. The investigation into both incidents is ongoing, with authorities assessing the actor's security requirements and addressing any potential vulnerabilities. These events underscore the challenges faced by high-profile figures in maintaining their safety and security amidst constant threats and the occasional intrusion by overzealous fans.
