Dhanashree Verma, the multifaceted dancer, choreographer, and social media influencer, has recently opened up about her life following her divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. The couple, who married in December 2020, officially ended their marriage on March 20, 2025, after months of speculation.

In an interview with The Times of India, Dhanashree shared insights into her journey of self-discovery and resilience in the face of adversity. She emphasized the importance of self-reliance and credited her parents for raising her to be a strong and independent woman. "The biggest thing I have learnt is the importance of self-reliance, and that my parents have raised a strong daughter," she stated, highlighting the profound impact of her upbringing on her ability to navigate life's challenges.

The divorce, finalized in a Mumbai court, followed a period of intense media scrutiny and online trolling. Rumors of a rift between Dhanashree and Chahal began circulating in 2022, intensifying when they unfollowed each other on social media and Chahal removed their photos. Dhanashree faced a barrage of negativity, with some reports falsely claiming she demanded a substantial alimony of ₹60 crore. Her family vehemently denied these claims, calling them "baseless" and "deeply irresponsible."

Amid the storm, Dhanashree chose to focus on her inner strength and craft. Acknowledging the challenges she faced, she expressed hope that her experiences would inspire others to embrace their own strength. "I hope I have inspired more people to make strength their guard and weapon," she said. She also revealed she has "completely changed" her lifestyle to focus on "self-love, inner strength, discipline, exercise, good food," and surrounding herself with people who love and respect her.

Dhanashree's journey has been marked by a conscious effort to prioritize self-care and personal growth. She emphasized that negativity and public criticism have never bothered her. She channelled her emotions into dancing, a passion she initially pursued alongside her career as a dentist. Before becoming a prominent social media personality, Dhanashree obtained a degree in dentistry from DY Patil College in Mumbai. However, her love for dance led her to create a successful YouTube channel, where she posted dance tutorial videos, eventually transitioning into a full-time career as a choreographer and influencer. She also participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.

Despite the personal turmoil, Dhanashree remains focused on her career and inspiring others through her work. She has established herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, with a strong presence on social media and involvement in various projects. According to reports, Dhanashree has a net worth of $3 million, accumulated through her YouTube channel, brand collaborations, dance choreography, and appearances in reality shows and music videos.

In the face of online criticism and speculation, Dhanashree has chosen to maintain a dignified silence, refusing to engage in clarifying misconceptions. "My silence is not a sign of weakness but of strength," she asserted, emphasizing her commitment to truth and integrity.

As Dhanashree embarks on this new chapter, she embodies resilience, self-reliance, and a dedication to inspiring others. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of inner strength, self-love, and the unwavering support of family in navigating life's most challenging moments.
