Yuvika Chaudhary, known for her roles in "Om Shanti Om" and "Bigg Boss," and her husband, Prince Narula, recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Ekleen, in October 2024. In a recent interview, Yuvika opened up about their journey to parenthood, revealing the challenges they faced and the reasons behind opting for IVF (In Vitro Fertilization).
Yuvika revealed that conceiving naturally was difficult for them because of their demanding work schedules. Due to their careers, one of them was frequently traveling during Yuvika's ovulation window. She also jokingly mentioned, "Maybe it is nazar." This constant travel made it difficult to plan and conceive naturally.
Initially, Yuvika admitted she didn't have much knowledge about IVF. She learned about it while exploring options for egg freezing. She recounted a frightening experience where a doctor told her, "You can't have babies." Yuvika felt the doctor might have been trying to take advantage of her lack of knowledge. This alarming statement caused her to panic and urge Prince to consider planning for a child immediately.
Yuvika then started the process of egg freezing. She underwent egg freezing for three years before finally conceiving through IVF in her first attempt. She described the IVF journey as emotionally and physically challenging. Balancing work with multiple medical procedures was tough. Yuvika mentioned getting used to the pain of frequent injections, which eventually became a normal part of her daily routine. She also spoke about the hormonal imbalances that made her feel unlike herself, making that phase very difficult.
Despite the difficulties, Yuvika expressed immense gratitude for the support she received from Prince and her family. She clarified that she initially confused egg freezing with IVF. However, she feels blessed that the IVF process went smoothly once it began.
Yuvika also addressed rumors about separation from Prince Narula, which arose due to house renovations and temporary distance during her pregnancy. She clarified that while they chose not to respond publicly, the rumors deeply impacted their families. They trusted that time would clear the air and remained strong as a couple.
Yuvika shared that she conceived through IVF at the age of 41. She wants to share her experiences so that other women don't suffer the way she did. She has also been open about the struggles she faced, including managing two homes and dealing with low blood pressure and cramps during her pregnancy.
Yuvika highlighted the importance of mental health during fertility treatments, emphasizing that stress can destabilize hormonal balance and pose a significant challenge to the IVF process. Maintaining a balanced and healthy routine is crucial while dealing with the physical and emotional demands of IVF.
After the birth of their daughter, Ekleen, Yuvika opened up about postpartum challenges, including postpartum depression. She emphasized the importance of self-care and mental health during this time. She noted that recovery after her C-section delivery would take time and patience. Yuvika also mentioned that Ekleen was diagnosed with jaundice shortly after birth.
Yuvika's journey to motherhood was not easy, but she remained positive throughout the process. She encourages others to value what they have and celebrate it every day. She has become more selective about sharing on social media to protect her child from negativity. Yuvika's story is an inspiration to many, highlighting the importance of support, resilience, and cherishing the joy of parenthood.
