Brentford defender Nathan Collins has expressed his hope that manager Thomas Frank will remain at the club following the international break. Amidst swirling speculation linking Frank with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, Collins admitted it's been hard to ignore the rumors. Tottenham have reportedly opened talks with Brentford for Frank to take over after sacking Ange Postecoglou.

Collins, currently on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, acknowledged the difficulty of avoiding the constant media coverage surrounding Frank's potential departure. Despite the uncertainty, the defender voiced confidence in Brentford's ability to handle the situation, emphasizing the presence of capable individuals within the club's management structure. He stated that Brentford is a good club and whatever happens, they will have a plan. There are good people in the backroom, so there will be a plan. "If he stays, even better. We can only see what happens."

The defender also highlighted his excitement about the arrival of his international teammate, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, at Brentford. Kelleher recently completed a transfer from Liverpool, and Collins is eager to begin playing alongside him at both club and international levels. He said he is looking forward to training together every day and building their relationship. Collins believes it's a great move for Kelleher and he deserves to be a number one at a club.

Collins and Kelleher have even joked about the possibility of Frank leaving shortly after Kelleher's arrival. Despite the uncertainty, Collins remains optimistic, reiterating his belief in Brentford's planning and stability.

Frank's potential move to Tottenham has generated considerable discussion about what he would bring to the North London club. Some observers point to Frank's tactical flexibility as a key asset. Unlike Postecoglou, who was sometimes criticized for a perceived lack of adaptability, Frank has demonstrated a willingness to adjust his formation and style of play based on the opposition. He is known for his physical, high-pressing approach but has also shown he can set up defensively when needed.

There are, of course, concerns. While Frank has built a strong reputation at Brentford, he would face different pressures at a club like Tottenham. He struggled initially at Brentford, and the expectations at Spurs would demand immediate results.

Tottenham's interest in Frank reportedly stems from his proven ability to overachieve relative to his team's wage bill. Brentford has operated with one of the lowest wage bills in the Premier League, yet Frank consistently guided the team to impressive finishes. This suggests he could be a shrewd appointment for Spurs, who may not be able to match the spending of other top clubs.

As the speculation continues, Nathan Collins and his Brentford teammates can only wait and see what the future holds for Thomas Frank. In the meantime, Collins is focused on his international duties with the Republic of Ireland, hoping to extend their unbeaten run.
