The upcoming film "Kuberaa," directed by Sekhar Kammula, has generated considerable buzz, and recent photos featuring the lead actors Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna have gone viral, further fueling anticipation. The movie, produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao of Amigos Creations, is being simultaneously shot in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, aiming for a broad reach across Indian audiences.
Rashmika Mandanna recently took to Instagram to share her excitement as the team kicked off promotions in Chennai. She expressed her special connection to the city, reminiscing about her childhood and the joy she experienced during the promotional event. The actress described the atmosphere as "epic" and highlighted the immense laughter and fun shared by the team.
Mandanna lauded "Kuberaa" as a perfectly balanced cinematic offering, emphasizing the magical combination of the cast, direction, and technical crew. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna, under the direction of Sekhar Kammula, and with Niketh Bommi as the Director of Photography and music by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). She also praised the dedication of the direction, camera, lighting, and costume departments, expressing her hope that audiences will feel the "magic" when the film releases on June 20.
Adding to the promotional fervor, Rashmika shared pictures of herself in a traditional salwar kameez, accessorized with a gajra and statement earrings, showcasing her elegant promotional look. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil in pivotal roles, alongside Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna. The production design is handled by Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre, with costumes designed by Kavya Sriram and Poorvaa Jain, and Chaithanya Pingali co-writing the script.
However, the journey to the film's release has not been without its challenges. Suniel Narang, the co-producer, recently voiced his frustration with an OTT platform allegedly pressuring the team regarding the release date. Narang claimed that Amazon Prime Video threatened to reduce their deal by ₹10 crore if "Kuberaa" did not hit theaters on the scheduled date of June 20. He criticized the increasing influence of OTT platforms on film release schedules and the industry's reliance on external platforms for various services.
Despite these hurdles, the team remains focused on delivering a compelling cinematic experience. With the release date fast approaching, "Kuberaa" is poised to be a significant release in the Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi film industries.
