The highlight of their home is a moving wall in their common area. This wall serves a dual purpose: it can be opened to create a larger space for parties or closed to create separate, more private rooms. Arpita explained that the wall is particularly useful for keeping their children, Ahil and Ayat, away from parties. Aayush jokingly added that whenever Arpita is upset with him, she doesn't slam doors but rather uses the moving wall to partition the house, restricting his access to certain areas. Farah Khan playfully inquired about how often Aayush ensures Arpita is upset with him, adding a touch of humor to the tour.
Beyond the moving wall, Aayush and Arpita maintain separate bedrooms within their expansive apartment. Aayush has his own private space, while Arpita shares a room with their son, Ahil. He jokingly complained that Arpita has started using the couch in his private room, encroaching on his personal space. Arpita admitted that she is accustomed to receiving home-cooked food daily from her mother, Salma Khan, which is also sent to her brothers, Sohail and Arbaaz Khan, and even to Aayush when he is shooting. Aayush humorously added that when he and Arpita were just friends, he would meet her primarily to enjoy the food prepared by Salma Khan.
The couple, who married in November 2014 in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad, have faced their share of rumors and speculations. Aayush recounted an incident in 2019 when he was confronted by paparazzi asking about divorce rumors while he was out with his son.
