Hindustan Unilever (HUL) shares are trading ex-dividend today, June 23, 2025, ahead of the final dividend payout for the financial year 2024-25. The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) giant has announced a final dividend of ₹24 per equity share.

Key Dividend Information

  • Dividend Type: Final
  • Dividend Amount: ₹24 per equity share
  • Applicable Financial Year: FY2024-25
  • Ex-Dividend Date: June 23, 2025
  • Record Date: June 23, 2025

To be eligible for this dividend, investors must have purchased HUL shares before today, June 20, 2025, as today is the ex-dividend date. The record date, which is June 23, 2025, determines the shareholders eligible for the dividend payout. The dividend will be credited to the bank accounts of eligible shareholders on or after July 4, 2025, subject to approval by the members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for June 30, 2025.

HUL had earlier declared an interim dividend of ₹19 per share and a special dividend of ₹10 per share in November 2024. Cumulatively, the total dividend for FY24-25 amounts to ₹53 per share, including the final dividend.

HUL's Performance & Dividend Payout

HUL's decision to distribute a final dividend of ₹24 is underpinned by its consistent financial performance. In its Q4 earnings for FY25, the company reported a 4% year-on-year increase in net profit. The company has maintained its profit margins through product pricing strategies and efficient supply chain management, enabling it to reward its shareholders consistently.

Other Corporate Actions

The company will hold its 92nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year 2024-2025 on June 30, 2025.

Furthermore, HUL is undergoing a demerger of its ice cream business, following Unilever PLC's decision to separate its ice cream business globally. The Ice Cream Business Undertaking of HUL will be transferred to K ওয়াল, with shareholders receiving shares in the resulting company in a 1:1 share entitlement ratio. The approval for conducting the shareholders' meeting of HUL for this demerger will be held on August 12, 2025.
