India has welcomed the announced meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15, 2025, viewing it as a potential step towards resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) released a statement endorsing the summit and expressing India's readiness to support the peace efforts.
